# Otherlands Privacy Policy **Effective date:** 2026-09-20 **Controller/operator:** Jordan Nakamoto, doing business as Otherlands **Privacy contact:** support@otherlands.app · [MAILING ADDRESS] This policy explains how Otherlands collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information. ## Information we collect - **Account information.** Clerk provides us with account identifiers and the account information needed to sign you in, such as your email address and session information. - **Game and creation content.** We store the prompts, commands, worlds, campaigns, characters, generated assets, and related game records needed to provide your account and recover a generation. - **Payment information.** Stripe processes card and checkout information. We receive transaction identifiers, purchase status, amounts, and credit-grant/refund/dispute information; we do not receive full payment-card numbers. - **Technical and security information.** Our hosting and service providers may process IP address, browser/device information, request logs, timestamps, cookies, and identifiers needed to deliver the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. - **Communications.** If you contact us, we collect the information in your message and our response. ## Why we use information We use information to create and secure accounts; provide game features and paid generations; save and recover your content; process payments and credits; prevent fraud, abuse, and duplicate charges; respond to support requests; comply with law; and maintain, debug, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information. ## Who receives information We share information only as needed to run Otherlands: - **Clerk** provides authentication and session management. - **Stripe** processes payments and payment-related disputes. - **Cloudflare** hosts the service and stores private account data and generated results. - **AI providers configured for a requested feature** receive the prompt and relevant game context needed to generate that feature. - **Service providers and professional advisers** may receive information under confidentiality or legal obligations. - **Authorities or other parties** may receive information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, security, or the service. We do not provide public access to a player's worlds or campaigns. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information. ## Cookies Otherlands and Clerk use cookies and similar identifiers to maintain sessions, protect against abuse, and remember necessary service state. You can control cookies through browser settings, but sign-in and other parts of the service may stop working. ## Retention and deletion We retain account and game content while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. We retain payment, credit, security, and dispute records for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and resolving disputes. You can delete individual campaigns and worlds in the product. To request account deletion or a copy of your personal information, contact support@otherlands.app. We will delete or de-identify information unless we need to retain it for a lawful purpose. ## Security We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service is completely secure. Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. ## Your choices and rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about our processing. Contact support@otherlands.app to make a request. We may verify your request and may deny or limit it where permitted by law. ## Children Otherlands is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
